What we collect
- Game progress — your stars, scores, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage (UserDefaults/AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device unless you submit a leaderboard score.
- Player name — if you choose to enter a name for the leaderboard, it is stored locally and submitted alongside your score. A name is never required to play.
- Race mode scores — when you complete all four levels of a puzzle in Race mode, your score, player name (if provided), and an anonymous device-generated identifier are sent to our leaderboard server (Supabase). No other gameplay data is transmitted.
What we do not collect
- No account or sign-in is required
- No email address or contact information
- No location data
- No advertising identifiers or tracking
- No data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing
Leaderboard data
Leaderboard scores are stored on servers provided by Supabase, Inc. (United States). Scores are associated with an anonymous identifier generated on your device — not your Apple ID or any personal account. If you provide a player name, it will be visible to other players on the leaderboard.
Children
Betweenies is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only optional personal data is a player name chosen by the user.
Data retention
Local game progress is stored on your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the app or using the reset option in the app. Leaderboard scores submitted to our server are retained indefinitely to maintain leaderboard history.
Your rights
To request deletion of any leaderboard data associated with your player name or identifier, contact us at the address below and we will remove it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app adds new features. The date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
